Costa Concordia: Trial step closer

Help

The trial of the captain of the Italian cruise ship which crashed into rocks in January has moved a step closer.

Pre-trial hearings finished on Friday - although no date has been set for the actual court case.

The captain, Francesco Schettino, has accepted blame for causing the disaster in which 32 people died, but he says others should share responsibility.

Bill Hayton reports.
