Art from the horse's mouth
Justin is a Friesian horse who paints. He works with a brush on canvas, creating abstract works with big bold strokes of colour.
Gripping the brush in his teeth, Justin paints nearly every day with help from his owner Adonna Combs of Columbus, Indiana.
She bought Justin as a two-year-old to be a show horse, but he was a strong-willed colt, she says, and showed little interest in a career as a saddlebred. Now nine years old, he can even paint on an easel.
One of Justin's works will be auctioned on Saturday at the American Saddlebred Museum in Lexington.
