Bomb plot foiled: Experts analyse new underpants bomb
Experts in the United States have been analysing a sophisticated new al-Qaeda bomb to work out whether it could have slipped past airport security and blown up an airplane.
US officials said the plot by al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula to attack a US-bound plane using an updated 'underwear bomb' was foiled by an insider infiltrating a terror cell.
