Titanic anniversary: Explorer wants more preservation
The explorer who located the wreck of the Titanic nearly 30 years ago says more needs to be done to protect it from damage.
Dr Bob Ballard, National Geographic's explorer in residence, says the wreck has been damaged by the weight of successive submarines landing on the hull.
He told Jon Kay he was not opposed "to people going down and visiting the Titanic... but you shouldn't come in contact with it.
"You don't go to the Louvre and go up to the Mona Lisa and stick your finger on it."
