First international women-only hot dog eating contest
The first women-only hot dog eating contest will take place at the annual hot dog event in Coney Island on Monday.
Women have previously been able to compete with the men but George Shea, the Master of Ceremonies at Nathan's Famous Fourth of July International Hot Dog Eating contest, said "Serena Williams didn't have to beat Roger Federer to win the Wimbledon title".
Sonya Thomas, aka 'The Black Widow' set a women's record at the event in 2009 when she ate 41 hotdogs in ten minutes. She gave Radio 5 live Up All Night's Dotun Adebayo her reaction to the news.
