Safes stolen from Llanelli National Eisteddfod found empty

Two safes stolen from the visitor centre at the National Eisteddfod in Llanelli have been found, but without the cash that was in them.

Around £6,000 was taken in the burglary which happened overnight between 4 and 5 August.

Dyfed-Powys Police said the empty safes were recovered close to the eisteddfod site on Tuesday afternoon.

Officers are continuing to investigate the burglary.
