Search for intruder at Caerfai caravan park at St David's

Police are searching for a man who assaulted people in a caravan he had entered before fleeing through a window.

The incident at Caerfai caravan park in St David's, Pembrokeshire, happened at about 02:00 BST on Sunday.

Dyfed-Powys Police said the occupants disturbed the man but suffered no serious injuries.

Officers want to speak to two men and ask anyone with information to call 101.

The intruder is described as having a darker skin tone and round face, approximately 5ft 11 in tall with a slim, athletic build and short dark hair.

He is between 20 and 30 and was wearing dark knee-length shorts and a dark vest top which may have had a different colour around the edging of the armholes.

A police spokesperson said: "We would like to reassure the community that incidents such as these are very rare in this area."

Increased police patrols are to take place in the area while an inquiry is held.
