Acacia Respite Home to close due to lack of demand

A respite home for adults with learning difficulties in Swansea will close due to a lack of demand.

Acacia Respite Home is expected to shut at the end of July, following a six month consultation with families.

A Swansea council spokesman said users want more choice and facilities with family placements, rather than a residential option.

He added "regular reassurance" has been given and there will be no change to the amount of care they receive.
