Two die in crashes on M4 near Neath and A48 in Cardiff

An 18-year-old driver has died after his car hit a motorway slip road barrier near Neath.

The M4 eastbound carriageway, near to junction 43, was closed but has now reopened.

Meanwhile, a 21-year-old woman died after a two-vehicle crash at St Mellons, Cardiff.

The A48 is still closed in both directions following the crash at 06:40 BST.

Mid and West Wales Fire Service said they were called to a single-vehicle collision at Llandarcy roundabout about 05:00 BST.

Two pumps, from Neath and Port Talbot, went to the scene. Diversions are in place and traffic is reported to be heavy.

Firefighters from Roath, Dyffryn and Malpas attended the crash at St Mellons which was near the Blooms Garden Centre.
