Biker dies in four-vehicle collision on A489 in Powys

A motorcyclist has been killed and two other people injured in a collision involving four vehicles in Powys.

The A489 near Newtown was shut when 999 crews were called at 11:50 BST.

Dyfed-Powys Police said the male motorcyclist's next of kin had been informed.

Officers are appealing for witnesses to the collision, which involved a yellow Suzuki Wagon, a blue Ford Galaxy, a green MG ZR and a black Honda CBR motorcycle.

Police expect the road to reopen on Sunday evening.
