Two injured in collisions in Morriston and Maesteg

Police have appealed for witnesses after two people were seriously injured in vehicle collisions.

In the first incident, at 14:30 BST on Tuesday, a blue Volkswagen Caddy collided with a male pedestrian on Clydach Road, Morriston, Swansea, critically injuring him.

At 16:10 BST on Monday, a blue motorcycle and a black BMW collided on Neath Road, Maesteg, seriously injuring the 43-year-old local rider.

Witnesses are asked to call 101.

Police said the Volkswagen Caddy also hit the wall of a house, and is believed to be the only vehicle involved.

The pedestrian is in the intensive care unit at Morriston Hospital.

The motorcycle rider from the Maesteg area is in a serious condition at the Princess of Wales Hospital in Bridgend. Any witnesses to that incident are asked to quote reference 14 00 127802.
