Special prayers have been said for six-day-old baby Eliza-Mae Mullane, who died at Pontyberem where the family's pet dog was later seized by police.

Eliza-Mae died last Tuesday and the family's Alaskan Malamute dog was taken away from the family's house in New Road.

Police have said forensic investigations into the baby girl's death could take some time.

Prayers for her were said at the Holy Cross church in Pontyberem on Sunday.

Father Pius Augustine said Eliza-Mae's family attended the service
