Pedestrian critical after collision with car in Swansea

Police are appealing for witnesses after a pensioner was critically injured when he was hit by a car in Swansea city centre.

The 70-year-old suffered serious head and leg injuries in the incident at 18:55 GMT on Saturday in Princess Way, opposite the Cross Keys pub.

South Wales Police said the man was taken to Morriston Hospital and his condition is still critical.

A burgundy Mercedes estate car was in the collision.

Anyone with information is asked to call 101.
