Ex-car showroom in Pontardawe hit by fire

Firefighters spent four hours tackling a blaze at a former car showroom in Pontardawe.

Crews were called to the incident on Old Road, Ynysmeudwy, at about 04:40 GMT on Sunday.

Nobody was hurt in the fire, which is believed to have been started accidentally.

A mid and west Wales fire service spokesperson said the blaze affected the first floor and roof of the building.

The last crew left the scene at 08:30 GMT.
