A fishing boat with nine people on board has been rescued off Swansea Bay after getting into difficulties.

The Oystercat vessel lost its steering in worsening weather conditions.

Swansea Coastguard said it received a mayday call at 16:04 GMT on Wednesday.

The boat was finally towed to safety and brought into Swansea Marina after a two-hour operation by the RNLI's Mumbles all-weather lifeboat. The coastguard said nobody was injured in the incident.
