M4 section reopens after three-car fire near Swansea

A section of the M4 eastbound has reopened after four cars crashed near Swansea causing a fire.

The incident happened at Briton Ferry Bridge on the eastbound carriageway between J42 (A48) and J41 (A48) shortly after 07:00 BST on Wednesday.

Motorists travelling eastbound were forced to use the hard shoulder to pass, and tailbacks stretched back seven miles to J46 at Llangyfelach.

Other traffic was diverted over the old Briton Ferry Bridge.

No one was seriously injured.
