M4 Swansea fully open following lorry fire between J44 and J45

Queuing traffic M4 J44 Traffic cameras show tailbacks on M4 J44 on Wednesday morning

All lanes of the M4 in Swansea have re-opened after a lorry fire partly blocked the westbound carriageway during Wednesday morning's rush hour.

Traffic Wales said one lane between junctions 44 (Llansamlet) and 45 (Ynysforgan) was closed for 45 minutes as smoke reduced visibility.

Traffic cameras showed queuing traffic at the height of the problems but traffic is returning to normal.

A Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue service crew dealt with the incident.
