Motorcyclist dies after collision on Alexandra Road, Swansea

A motorcyclist has died in hospital following a collision with a car in Swansea.

The crash happened at about 19:30 BST on Tuesday as the motorcyclist, a local man, travelled along Alexandra Road, Gorseinon.

Police said he was involved in a collision with a silver Nissan Micra which emerged onto the road from Park Road.

The motorcyclist was treated at the scene but died later.

Officers said the motorcycle was travelling along Alexandra Road from the direction of Gorseinon Cross, towards Loughor.

Police want to speak to anyone who may have seen either vehicle, as well as those who may have stopped to help but have not given their details.

The road was closed for four hours while officers carried out their initial investigation.
