Appeal after police rider thrown from machine near Carmarthen

Police have appealed for information after a force motorcyclist was thrown from his machine while trying to avoid colliding with a car.

The light-coloured car crossed the central reservation of the westbound A40 near Carmarthen and turned into the police rider's path.

Dyfed-Powys Police said he was not seriously injured in the incident at Bancyfelin at 08:55 BST on Saturday.

Police said the car did not stop at the scene.

The medium-sized vehicle was last seen heading in the general direction of Carmarthen.

The force said anyone with information should contact the Dyfed-Powys Police roads policing unit on 101 or 08453302000.
