Brynamman death: Body of man, 25, found in River Amman

The body of a 25-year-old man seen going into a Carmarthenshire river early this morning has been found.

The man, from the Brynamman area, entered the River Amman near the rugby club at about 03:45 GMT on Thursday and his body was found at about 08:00.

A full-scale search involved police and fire services, Brecon and Western Beacons Mountain Rescue teams and a helicopter from RAF Chivenor.

Dyfed-Powys Police say the man's family have been told.

Police said teams recovered the body downstream near the Nant Gwynt Bridge.

An investigation is continuing and the coroner has been informed.
