Swansea pedestrian seriously injured by car

A 21-year-old man is seriously ill in hospital after being hit by a car in Swansea.

The incident happened on Fabian Way in the city at 23:15 GMT on Saturday evening.

Police say the man was crossing the A483 carriageway near Port Tennant Road when he was struck by a black Skoda Octavia car.

The pedestrian was taken to the University of Wales Hospital in Cardiff with serious injuries.

South Wales Police are appealing for any witnesses to the incident to contact the Roads Policing Department on 01656 655 555.
