Police hunt after armed robbery at Llansamlet takeaway

An armed man wearing a Halloween mask has threatened staff and stolen cash at an Indian takeaway in Swansea.

South Wales Police are hunting the robber, who is believed to have had a gun.

An employee was described as shocked but unhurt after the robbery in Shahi Tandoori in Trallwn Road, Llansamlet, at 22:45 GMT on Thursday.

A gold Vauxhall Vectra car drove away at high speed after the robbery in the direction of Peniel Green Road.

The robber stole a quantity of cash from the till, say police, who are appealing for witnesses.

The man is described as 5ft 7in (1.7m). He was wearing a black hooded top and a black plastic Halloween mask with white colouring around the eyes, nose and cheeks.
