River Clydach pollution probe under way

An investigation is under way following reports of pollution in a large section of the River Clydach, the Environment Agency Wales (EAW) has confirmed.
Officers are inspecting the area between Bryncoch and the Neath Estuary in Neath Port Talbot.
They are assessing the environmental impact of the pollution on water quality and the fish population.
An EAW spokesperson said the river is "a dull grey colour" because of "suspended solids in the water".
The spokesman added: "So far, we haven't noticed any signs of fish in distress but we will continue to monitor the situation closely until we identify the source."
