Laura Rees, 23, dies in A40 Carmarthenshire road crash

Police have identified a woman who died following a road crash on the A40 in Carmarthenshire on Friday.

The Dyfed-Powys force said Laura Rees, 23, was from St Clears.

She was driving one of two vehicles which collided between St Clears and Whitland at around 23:00 BST.

Four people from the second vehicle - two of them children - were taken to the West Wales General Hospital in Carmarthen but their injuries were not thought to be life threatening.

Ms Rees was travelling alone at the time of the crash.

Dyfed-Powys Police have asked witnesses to contact the Carmarthenshire roads policing unit on 101.
