Swansea taxi collision: Pedestrian injured

A pedestrian has been seriously injured after being hit by a taxi van near a pelican crossing in Swansea.

South Wales Police said the man had life threatening injuries after the incident in Carmarthen Road in the early hours of Saturday.

The vehicle involved was said to be a black Fiat Scudo taxi van.

Police have appealed for any witnesses, or anyone with information about the vehicle involved, to get in touch with them.

The incident happened near the Waun Wen Road pelican crossing at 01:00 BST.
