Carmarthenshire cyclist, 20, dies after lorry collision

A 20-year-old cyclist has died after a collision with an articulated lorry near Carmarthen.

The accident happened at 1830 BST on Friday at Whitemill on the A40.

The cyclist, who is from Carmarthenshire, was taken to West Wales General Hospital where he later died of his injuries.

Carmarthenshire Roads Policing Unit is now investigating the collision and is appealing for witnesses to get in touch.

Any witnesses are asked to contact Dyfed-Powys Police on 101 or 01267 222020 if ringing from outside the force area.
