Pedestrian stable after being hit by car in Bridgend

A pedestrian who was hit by a car as he crossed the road close to Bridgend bus station is in a stable condition in hospital, South Wales Police say.

The man suffered serious injuries and was flown to the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff, after the collision on the A4061 at 09:10 BST on Saturday.

The car involved, a white Volkswagen Golf, was driving from Quarella Road towards the town centre.

Police are appealing for witnesses.
