Cyclist Martin Trinder's family pay tribute after death

The family of a man who died after falling off his bicycle has paid tribute to friends, colleagues and emergency services for their support.

Martin Trinder, 25, from Cardiff, died in hospital six days after the incident in Penarth on 16 July.

Police are investigating why he lost control on a hill and fell.

The family thanked people for their "great kindness and support following the tragic loss of our most dearly loved son and brother".

The incident happened on a hill at St Augustines Crescent heading towards St Augustines Road.

Mr Trinder, who worked for GE Aviation in Caerphilly, was treated at the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff, but died on 22 July.

His funeral was held in York on 8 August.

South Wales Police said it was still not known exactly what happened and appealed for witnesses to come forward.
