Woman's body pulled from River Monnow in Skenfrith

A woman's body has been found in a south Wales river, police have confirmed.

The 34 year old, from Coventry, was pulled from the River Monnow in Skenfrith on Sunday evening.

Concerns were raised for the woman's safety and Gwent Police and emergency services were directed to the area at 19:15 BST.

Severn Area Rescue Association found the woman's body and her death is not being treated as suspicious.
