Man in hospital after Cardiff scaffolding fall

A man has been taken to hospital after falling 20ft (6m) from scaffolding at a building site in Cardiff.

Emergency services were called to a construction site at Prospect Place, Grangetown, at 07:53 BST on Friday.

Three fire crews attended but cutting equipment was not needed. Police said the man suffered minor injuries and was taken to the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff.

The incident is being investigated by the Health and Safety Executive.

South Wales Police said they were no longer involved in the investigation but confirmed the man fell after scaffolding collapsed.
