Richard Evans Police sergeant Richard Evans will face trial in August

A police custody sergeant has denied having sex while on duty.

Richard Evans, who works for Gwent Police, is accused of having sex with three women including a member of the public and a detainee.

The 50-year-old is also accused of carrying out three sexual assaults.

Cardiff Crown Court heard the case involves three women complainants. Mr Evans denies all of the charges and was bailed until August when he will go on trial.
