Body of missing man, 24, found on beach at Porthcawl

A body found on a beach at a south Wales resort is that of a 24-year-old local man reported missing on Friday morning, South Wales Police have said.

Emergency services were called to the seafront at Porthcawl after Swansea Coastguard raised the alert at 09:35 GMT on Friday.

Police said the man had been identified by a relative as William Harrison.

Officers said the incident was not being treated as suspicious at this stage but inquiries were continuing.
