Newport shooting: Third man charged over Chepstow Road incident

A third man from Newport has been charged in connection with a shooting in the city in September.

The 24-year-old faces three counts of conspiracy to commit murder, three counts of conspiracy to cause grievous bodily harm and perverting the course of justice.

He is due to appear before city magistrates on 18 December.

Two other men from Newport, aged 20 and 22, have previously been charged with three counts of attempted murder.

Three other men, all from Newport, remain on police bail in connection with the investigation.

It follows an incident on Chepstow Road on 3 September at 22:30 BST in which two men were hurt after pellets were fired and a car crashed.
