Location map

One of the main routes into Cardiff was closed for nearly five hours after a crash between a car and a lorry.

Emergency services say the incident happened on the A4232 at 11:45 GMT between the exit from junction 33 of the M4 and the A48 Cowbridge Road West at Culverhouse Cross.

The lorry has overturned and is down the embankment but there are no reports of any injuries.

One lane remains closed after the road reopened at 16:30 GMT.

Motorists were diverted off the M4 at Junction 32 and advised to use the A470 before taking the A48 at Gabalfa to Culverhouse Cross.
