Four fire crews have tackled a large fire on an industrial estate in Bridgend, involving scrap cars.

Around 20 vehicles were said to be well alight at a scrap yard on Brackla Industrial Estate.

South Wales Fire and Rescue Service were called to the blaze at 18:15 BST and it was brought under control three hours later.

An investigation will be carried out into the cause.

The fire and rescue service said the blaze involved an unknown amount of vehicles and tyres.

Two water bowsers have been called in to support fire crews from Bridgend, Cowbridge and Pencoed.
