Investigation into Tir-y-berth rugby player's broken jaw

Police are investigating an assault during a game of rugby in which a man suffered a broken jaw.

Gwent Police said an incident happened at Cefn Fforest rugby ground in Caerphilly county between 15:30 and 15:45 BST on Sunday.

Fleur-de-Lis were playing Cwmbran in a youth match when the 19-year-old man, from Tir-y-berth, Caerphilly county, was injured.

Officers have appealed for witnesses to call 101.
