M4 near High Cross: Road crash causes delays

A crash between two cars near Newport caused delays of 45 minutes on the M4 motorway.

One lane was closed westbound between junctions 26 at Malpas and 27 at High Cross, with traffic stretching back four miles.

South Wales Fire and Rescue Service was called to the incident at 15:19 BST.

No-one was trapped in the wreckage but paramedics treated one casualty at the scene.
