A40 fatal crash: Woman also dies days after collision
A second person has died following a two-car collision in Monmouthshire on Saturday on the A40.
The 73-year-old woman from Crickhowell was taken to hospital following the crash with serious injuries, but has since died.
The driver of the car, David Marshall, 78, from Crickhowell, died at the scene.
A 44-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has been bailed.
The collision involved a silver Ford KA and a silver VW Golf and happened between Raglan and Abergavenny at about 21.30 BST.
The A40 was closed for about 10 hours while collision investigators attended the scene.
Police have appealed for witnesses to the collision to contact them by dialling 101.
They particularly want to speak to the driver of a Ford Transit van or similar vehicle, thought to be heading in the same direction at that time.
