North Cornelly, Bridgend: Boy, five, hurt in collision

A five-year-old boy is in hospital with serious injuries after a collision involving a car in Bridgend.

A police helicopter took him to the University of Wales Hospital in Cardiff after the incident at Heol Fach, North Cornelly, at 18:26 BST on Thursday.

In a separate incident, a motorcyclist was seriously injured at nearby Rest Bay in Porthcawl, at 21:36 BST.

No other vehicle was involved in the second incident. South Wales Police are appealing for witnesses to both.
