A465 road collision: Pedestrian killed near Abergavenny

A 46-year-old pedestrian has been killed in a collision involving two cars in Monmouthshire.

The incident took place on the A465 between the Abergavenny turn off and the Hardwick roundabout at around 19:00 GMT on Wednesday.

Gwent Police said the male pedestrian, who was from Blaina, died at the scene.

Officers want to hear from anyone who saw a lone man in dark clothing walking along the A465 up to 19:00 GMT.

Police said the two vehicles involved were a silver Ford Focus and a black VW Passat.

Anyone with information is asked to call 101.
