Restaurant in City Road, Cardiff, damaged in overnight fire

Part of a city restaurant has been severely damaged by a blaze in the early hours of Sunday.

The fire affected the first floor of the premises on City Road in Cardiff and was being investigated, said South Wales Fire and Rescue Service.

There were no reports of any injuries and everyone was accounted for.

Firefighters were called at 01:52 GMT and crews from Cardiff central and Ely fire stations attended.
