Peter Lewis murder trial: Jury retires to consider verdict

The jury in trial of a man accused of stabbing to death a disabled pensioner has retired to consider its verdict.

William Jones, 32, of Cardiff, denies murdering Peter Lewis in the doorway of his flat in the city's Roath area last April.

Cardiff Crown Court heard Mr Jones had a knife as he knocked on Mr Lewis' door looking for his former girlfriend.

He claims he must have stabbed the pensioner accidentally as he tried to take a knife off him.
