Marshfield crash: Motorist, 33, dies after collision with van

A 33-year-old man has died after his car was in collision with a van near Newport.

Police closed Marshfield Road, Marshfield, for a short time after the incident on Friday at 20:05 GMT to carry out their initial investigations.

The man was taken to the Royal Gwent Hospital where he died later. Nobody else was hurt.

Gwent Police want witnesses to call 101 or their Collision Investigation Unit on 01633 642404.
