Gwent Police are appealing for help to trace a convicted murderer who is being recalled to prison for breaching his licence conditions.

Jason Soal, 37, also known as Jay Soal and Jason Brindley Davies, was jailed at Cardiff Crown Court in September 1992 and released in 2004 on licence.

He has connections with the Rhymney Valley and Risca areas.

Officers say people who see Soal should not approach him but should contact police immediately.

Soal is 5ft 10in (1.78m), of medium build, with brown eyes and short dark hair. He has scars to the right side of his neck and on his right hand.

He has tattoos on his arms of a dragon and feathers in black ink.

Anyone who sees Soal or knows where he may be is asked to call Gwent Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
