Cwmbran murder: Police name dead man as Jeremy Vaughan

A man found dead at an address in Cwmbran in a murder investigation has been named by Gwent Police.

Jeremy Vaughan, 42, of no fixed address, had recently been living in the Newport area.

His body was found in Maendy Way, Pontnewydd, after police were called at about 10:00 BST on Friday.

Detectives have been given more time to question a 39-year-old man arrested on suspicion of Mr Vaughan's murder.

Police are yet to establish the exact cause of death.

They have renewed their appeal to anyone with information to call 101.

Further tests will be carried out on the body to establish the cause of death as a post-mortem examination proved inconclusive.
