Cwmbran murder: Arrest after body found in Pontnewydd

A 39-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder by Gwent Police after the discovery of a body in Cwmbran.

The dead man, believed to be in his 40s, was found at an address in Maendy Way, Pontnewydd, after police were called at about 10:00 BST on Friday.

A post-mortem examination will be carried out over the weekend.

The name of the man who died has not been released. Anyone with information is asked to call Gwent Police on 101.
