Cwmbach fatal crash: Jacek Stawski and Lee Williams tributes

Lee Williams and Jacek Stawski both died in the collision near Cwmbach

The families of two men who died following a two-vehicle collision have paid tributes to them.

Jacek Stawski, 38, from Mountain Ash, was the driver of a Citroen Xsara in last Thursday's collision on the A4059 near Cwmbach, Aberdare.

His family said the impact of his death would be "imprinted on our hearts forever".

Lee Williams, 41, from Aberaman, was a passenger in a Nissan Skyline and would never be forgotten, his family said.

Mr Stawski's partner, Joanna Osinska, called him a "wonderful father," who was "supportive and loving".

"He has left his family too soon," she said.

"I will miss him so much as will his son Thomas, four, and his daughter Sophie, 18 months. The impact of his death will be imprinted on our hearts forever."

Mr Williams, a keen golfer and footballer, had two sons, Harri and Ben, and his wife Sian said he was a "wonderful husband, dad, son, son-in-law and friend".

"Everybody who knew him cannot believe he's now gone.

"He was loved by everyone and will never been forgotten," she added.

The 40-year-old driver of the Nissan was airlifted to hospital with what were described as non life-threatening injuries.

A four-year-old child in the Citroen was taken to hospital for treatment to what police said were non-life threatening injuries.

South Wales Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

Officers would particularly like to speak to anyone who may have seen the white Nissan Skyline two-door coupe shortly before the collision as it was travelling from Aberdare town centre along the A4059 bypass road toward the Asda supermarket roundabout.
