Two in hospital after car crash on A4110 near Penygraig

Two people were taken to hospital and three others injured after a crash involving three cars on the A4110 between Tonyrefail and Tonypandy in Rhondda.

South Wales Police say the Vauxhall Astra, Vauxhall Corsa and Ford Fiesta collided near Penygraig at 15:20 BST.

Two people who had to be cut free from the wreckage were taken to hospital.

The road was closed in both directions but reopened after the scene was cleared.
