M4 westbound reopens after crash near Second Severn Crossing

The westbound M4 has reopened after a crash near the second Severn crossing in which one person was seriously injured, say police.

Three vehicles were involved in the incident between junction 22 (M49) and junction 23 (M48 Magor).

The crash happened near the Toll Plaza on the Welsh side of the bridge.

The westbound carriageway was temporarily closed, causing tailbacks to junction 20 (M5 Almondsbury Interchange).
