Murder arrest after body found at bungalow in Pentyrch, Cardiff

An 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a death in an early morning house fire in a village on the outskirts of Cardiff.

South Wales Police say they were called to the bungalow at Cefn Bychan, Pentyrch, by the fire service at 03:02 GMT on Friday.

An incident room has been set up at Cardiff Central Police Station while inquiries continue.

No further details have been released about the person who died.

A spokeswoman for South Wales Fire and Rescue Service said the cause was under investigation.

Fire crews from Whitchurch and Pontypridd were sent to tackle the blaze at 02:37 GMT.

Police want witnesses to call them on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
